The Deep Dive Coding Bootcamp is a 10-week (40+ hours per week) web development bootcamp taught at the CNM STEMulus Center in downtown Albuquerque. You'll learn the fundamentals of modern web development and coding to build great websites, software, and apps.

Learn the Code

We’ll teach you the languages, tools and techniques used to build today’s best websites, software and apps, including:

  • HTML5
  • JavaScript
  • jQuery
  • MySQL
  • CSS3 (browser-side)
  • Object-oriented programming (OOP)
  • PHP (server-side)

You’ll become proficient with test environments, GitHub collaboration and version control tools, Agile Development Methodology, and other development tools used by today’s best software shops.

Program

Introduction and Discovery (Weeks 1-2)

  • Discover the components of coding and how the various parts work together to make software and websites run.
  • Become familiar with the xAMP stack.
  • Learn to use a variety of development tools.
  • Begin building your own stuff.

Preparation and Development (Weeks 3-5)

  • Reinforce your knowledge base through team and individual projects.
  • Build code through pair programming.
  • Start building projects for your portfolio.

Execution and Deployment (Weeks 6-10)

  • Dive into PHP and MySQL.
  • Create clean, functional, and documented code (exactly what employers are looking for!).
  • Build out your personal and digital brands.
  • Participate in a meet & greet with employers, recruiters and others in the tech community.
  • Complete your team projects.

July 2015 Bootcamp (Sold Out)

  • Dates: July 13 – September 11
  • Class Schedule: Monday – Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

October 2015 Bootcamp

  • Dates: October 12 – December 18
  • Application Deadline: September 18
  • Class Schedule: Monday – Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

January 2016 Bootcamp

  • Dates: January 11 – March 18
  • Application Deadline: December 11

April 2016 Bootcamp

  • Dates: April 11 – June 17
  • Application Deadline: March 11

July 2016 Bootcamp

  • Dates: July 11 – September 16
  • Application Deadline: June 10

October 2016 Bootcamp

  • Dates: October 10 - December 16
  • Application Deadline: September 9

Cost

Fees:

  • $5,495 for New Mexico residents.
  • $6,495 for out-of-state applicants.

The University Village Hotel has a lodging special for Deep Dive Coding students who are coming from out-of-state.

Fees for future classes may vary.

A non-refundable $1,000 deposit is required prior to the application deadline in order to reserve your seat. The Deep Dive Coding Bootcamp is a non-credit program that is not eligible for Financial Aid.

Access Funds Available to Eligible Participants

The W.K. Kellogg Foundation has awarded the CNM STEMulus Center funds to improve the economic security of eligible individuals in Bernalillo County by providing training and support in obtaining high quality STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) related jobs. Please note, these funds may be taxable.

Funds are available now to attend Deep Dive Coding Bootcamp for all bootcamps beginning before October 2017.

  • Eligible individuals may receive up to the entire course fee amount (currently $5495) to attend the Deep Dive Coding Bootcamp.
  • Eligible individuals may receive childcare reimbursement funds up to $1000 per month, per child, during the training program (must be through a licensed daycare provider) to attend Deep Dive Coding Bootcamp courses.

Eligibility Requirements:

You must be a Bernalillo County resident, plus two of the following requirements must be met:

    • Be a parent of a child age 8 or under.
    • Be a person of color.
    • Be a part of a family with 200% of poverty or less (see table below).

    Special consideration may also be given if you:

    • Live in the South Valley.
    • Live in the International District.
